Porsche mobile for mac hard drive formated for mac use it on pc

I used the library with the Photos 2.0 app on my MacBook Pro(mid 2012), which is running macOS 10.12.2, several times and it worked just great. I have a Lacie Porsche Design 1TB external hard drive that I keep all my personal pictures on, and recently I moved all the pictures, 500gb worth, to a photos library that I put on the hdd.
